Women Veterans have the option of receiving your care through the Women Veterans Clinic at the main hospital in Muskogee or you can receive your care at one of our primary care teams in Muskogee or through our community-based outpatient clinics in Hartshorne, Tulsa or Vinita.

- Primary and Preventive Health Care: Acute conditions, Chronic conditions, Annual exams to include pelvic and pap smears, Mammograms and Vaccinations
- Maternity Care: VA covers pregnancy care typically through arrangements with community providers. VA can pay for prenatal care, delivery, and postnatal care for eligible women Veterans.
- Newborn Care: Routine medical care for the first seven days after birth, for eligible women Veterans receiving VA maternity care. Circumcisions are covered as routine newborn care when performed on an infant within the first seven days after birth. Only newborn children born on or after May 5, 2010 to enrolled Women Veterans receiving maternity care furnished by VA are eligible for post-deliver and newborn care at VA expense.
- Mental Health/Counseling: Alcohol and Substance Abuse, Anxiety/Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Sexual Trauma
- Gynecology: Contraception/Hormones, Consultation and treatment of gynecological related cases*, Abnormal Pap Smears*, Contraceptive Counseling, Gynecological surgery*, Mammograms and Vaccinations
- Patient Education/Programs: Healthy eating habits, Hormone replacement therapy, Reducing risks of breast cancer, Smoking cessation and Stress management
- Nutrition Counseling: Dietary Management and Weight Control
* May require referral to another VA Hospital
Governor Mary Fallin has declared Nov. 17 as Oklahoma Women Veterans Recognition Day. The Oklahoma Women Veterans Organization will hold a Women Veterans Recognition Day program on Nov. 17 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Oklahoma City. New Women Veterans Clinic To meet the growing needs of Women Veterans in Eastern Oklahoma, the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center opened a new Women Veterans Clinic at the Ernest Childers VA Outpatient Clinic in Tulsa in June.
