President Donald J. Trump has declared December 5, 2018 as a National Day of Mourning for George H. W. Bush, the 41st President of the United States.

The President has issued an Executive Order to close Federal offices and excuse all Federal employees from duty, except those who cannot be excused for reasons of national security, defense, and other essential public business.

The Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System will operate all patient care services on December 5, 2018 without interruption including scheduled clinic appointments, hospitalizations, surgeries, and the Emergency Room. However, some administrative offices will be closed.

Veterans with questions or health care concerns should call 888-397-8387.
