The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will be holding a Town Hall to discuss the opening of the new McCurtain County Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) on June 7.

The event will be held at the Southeastern Oklahoma State University, McCurtain County Campus, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the auditorium located at 2805 N.E. Lincoln Rd. in Idabel, OK. Veterans and their family members, as well as citizens concerned about the needs of our Veterans, are invited and encouraged to attend.

This will be an open forum discussion between Veterans and the VA to address CBOC services, upcoming enrollment and outreach activities. Enrollment and benefits teams will be on site to provide assistance. For more information on how to enroll and to see the different ways you can apply for care, please visit: https://www.va.gov/healthbenefits/apply/.

In February 2017, the VA awarded STG International, Inc. (STGi) a contract to operate a brand new CBOC in McCurtain County, OK, part of the Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System. The clinic will be located at 903 SE Washington St. in Idabel, OK.

The McCurtain County CBOC will provide a full range of onsite and tele-health services for Veterans in the southeast Oklahoma area to include primary care, mental and behavioral health, laboratory, and women’s health services. The new CBOC will be approximately 7,000 square feet and is projected to serve 1,300 enrolled Veterans within the first year.

STGi will oversee and facilitate a seamless transition to full clinic operations for the new McCurtain CBOC. The STGi team’s focus will be on a well-designed, accessible facility that will ensure the delivery of primary care in a welcoming and modern environment.
