Memorial Day Ceremony held at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery

The public is invited to Ft. Gibson National Cemetery’s Memorial Day Ceremony on May 28 at 2 pm.

The keynote address will be given by Rep. Markwayne Mullin, District 2. Other speakers include Mark Morgan, Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System Director; William Rhoades, Ft. Gibson National Cemetery Director; Patrick Burk, Supervisory Claims Examiner, Muskogee VA Regional Office; State Rep. George Faught, District 14; State Senator Dewayne Pemberton, District 9; State Rep. Avery Frix, District 13.

Special music will be provided by the 395th Army Band Brass Quintet, and the Hilldale Trio, Alaina Edwards, Hailey Huggins and Mattie Hurlburt, will sing the National Anthem. The Fort Gibson Police Department’s Explorer Post 0911 will present and retire the colors, and the Tinker Air Force Base Honor Guard will perform the rifle volley.
