VA Medical Center to Hold Ribbon Cutting for New MRI Suite

January 8, 2014

The Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center (JCMVAMC) will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for a new Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Suite on January 15 at 10 am. The MRI Suite is located at the North end of the medical center near the main entrance.

The new suite allows JCMVAMC to offer MRI services for the first time. Previously, the medical center had to send Veterans to outside facilities for detailed imaging that was not possible with computed tomography (CT) scanning alone.

“We are delighted that our Veterans will benefit from the most up-to-date imaging technology and further advance our diagnostic capabilities,” said Dr. Vijay Aggarwal, chief of Radiology Service.  “The addition of this new on-site MRI imaging facility will greatly benefit our inpatients, as well as our outpatients by providing them with convenient and timely services.”

Light refreshments will be served. The Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center is located at 1011 Honor Heights Dr. in Muskogee.
