Veterans Invited to Attend Free Double Feature at Admiral Twin Drive-In

September 1, 2016

The Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System will host a Veteran Appreciation Night on Friday, September 23 at the Admiral Twin Drive-In, located at 7355 E. Easton Street in Tulsa.

Veterans, active duty, National Guard and Reserve troops will get a free ticket to a double feature along with a free ticket for one significant other and two children. Please bring a military or Veteran ID.

Prior to the first movie, Veterans will have the opportunity to learn about VA health care and benefits. A Mobile Vet Center, operated by VA's Readjustment Counseling Service, will also be available to provide nonmedical readjustment counseling and outreach to combat Veterans and their families.

The first movie begins at dusk at approximately 7:44 p.m., but Veterans are recommended to arrive early due to traffic. The Admiral Twin Drive-In recommends that patrons bring a portable FM radio.  Visit http://admiraltwindrivein.com/ for more information and for movie schedule closer to the event.

Organized by the VA’s Transition and Care Management Program, the purpose of this annual “Welcome Home” outreach event is to thank Veterans for their service, educate them about VA benefits and services and encourage Veterans to enroll for VA health care.
